Who I AM
Weylin Thoreau Wallace is a writer and a 10-year veteran Game Master of TTRPGs from Calgary, Alberta. He earned two bachelor’s degrees–one in Creative Writing and the other in history—from Louisiana State University while working as a journalist and an editor.
He’s also spent the past decade learning to draw fantasy maps, writing original D&D campaign modules, and writing fiction for submission to literary journals. Rumors of a novel in the works may or may not have merit.
Hiking, camping, cooking, blacksmithing, HEMA, Shaolin Kung-Fu, archery, acting, theater tech, improv, wild plant and mushroom identification, manual typewriter repair, candle-making, cartography, calligraphy, reading, and writing have all found themselves on his growing list of current or former hobbies and interests–and almost all of them come in handy around the D&D table. The man also has very, very bad contemporary music taste, God bless him.
Weylin’s favorite authors include Octavia Butler, Edogawa Ranpo, Oscar Wilde, Marcus Tullius Cicero, Madeline Miller, and Patrick Rothfuss–but don’t bring up the Doors of Stone, or he’ll get sad.
